Whether you are a current Carpentry Apprentice looking to change Host Employers, or have finished school recently and would like to start an apprenticeship - we want YOU!  As an apprentice, you will be able to earn while you learn and after 4 years you will obtain a Certificate III in Carpentry. In this trade, you will learn to construct wall frames, ceiling frames, pitched roofs, eaves, external stairs, flooring systems, instal windows and doors. Our Host Employer, who seeks to hire an apprentice is located in Cairns, however some level of travel will be required, depending on the location of each jobsite (f.e. to Port Douglas, Innisfail, etc.). They specialise in commercial projects, such as shop fit outs (no domestic work).   Mandatory application criteria: Drivers licence and own vehicle upon beginning of apprenticeship. White card Posses strong problem solving and mathematical skills. High level of personal fitness to keep up with the physical demands of this role. Good attitude and communication skills. Demonstrated work experience in a trade environment would be desirable, however is not essential. 2021 year 12 school leavers are encouraged to apply! About the role: As a Business Administration Trainee, you will get to work and learn at a local company (host) for a period of 12 months, whilst completing online modules of BSB30120 Certificate III in Business. Trainees earn between $9.13 and $18.58 per hour (pay rates for trainees and apprentices are set by the government and vary depending on the participant's age). At the end of that period you will obtain a Certificate 3 in Business and your remuneration will increase. BSB30120 Certificate III in Business provides the practical skills and knowledge needed for a range of office or business environment roles within multiple industry sectors. How to apply: Submit a current resume and a cover letter. Different Host Companies have slightly different selection criteria, it is therefore paramount that you include the following information in your letter: Do you have any administrative experience? Which school year level have you finished and when?
